Make your own Chocolate sponge cake
You will need:
2 Medium Eggs
75ml (5 tbsp) Vegetable Oil
2 Greased & Lined 8" (20cm) round sandwich cake tins
125ml (8tbsp) Semi-skimmed Milk
Electric Hand Whisk
Buttercream (optional)

Ready in 3 easy steps:
1 Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C Fan) Gas Mark 4. Grease & line the cake tins.
2 In a jug, blend the eggs, milk & oil. Place the chocolate sponge mix into a bowl, pour in the egg, milk and oil and gently mix then whisk for 1 minute until smooth and creamy.
3 Pour cake mix evenly between the two prepared sandwich tins and level with a spoon, bake in the centre of the oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the sponge comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Sandwich together and top with your favourite chocolate buttercream and enjoy.
Store in a cool dry place.
